This weekend marked the first time that the International Make-up Artist Trade Show or IMATS for short happened in New York City. NYC is home to flagship stores from almost all major makeup brands so I was surprised to hear that this was the show's debut in the city. Over the event's two days, exhibitors, lecturers and vendors took part in a make-up enthusiast's fantasy on Mercer St. in SoHo. Of course,
solifestyle was there with a press pass. As I know practically nothing about makeup, I'll leave the beauty posts to Sooz. For me, the fun was seeing the costume makeup and artistry from Saturday Night Live and various sci-fi movies. Expect to see posts throughout the week chronicling IMATS.
