Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Swag & Review

After all of the wonderful things I heard about OCC products at the flagship opening party, I couldn't wait to try all of the treats in my goody bag!

The Lip Tars (especially the color Queen) are probably my favorite products I've tried from OCC so far. They are amazingly pigmented matte lip stains, and a little goes a long long way. They also last a long time - I wore one to a party recently and it lasted for a good 4 hours. Formerly a pro-only line, OCC products were geared more towards professional makeup artists, who would probably use a brush to apply the Lip Tars. That is definitely the best way to apply these babies - if you try to put them on straight from the tube you'll end up with way too much product and zero control of it. The artists at the party recommended applying a lip pencil all over the lips first so the Lip Tars last even longer.

I love the nail polishes too - they're great quality, and are super bright and opaque. As for the loose colors, honestly, I've never used loose pigments or straight up glitter before, but I can't wait to try them out. I can tell you that both are very finely milled (read: not chunky) and the artists at the OCC party were raving about them.

I'll definitely be back to the store soon to stock up on some more awesome makeup! @occmakeup
