SLAP: Adhesives & Egos Sticker Show by Con Artist Opening Wednesday

The city's covered in stickers. All it takes is swiping a few priority mail labels, an idea, and BAM you're slapping your art all over town. This is how a lot of major street artists in the game started out, and this Wednesday night

Con Artist

is elevating the art form. Instead of tattering off an abandoned newspaper stand, the mini works of art will be displayed in the underground (literally) gallery on the LES. Showing handmade work by over 100 artists, both well known (Sinero, Royce, EKG and Faust to name a few) and totally amateur,

SLAP

is leveling the playing field by displaying everything side by side in an organized fashion. Con Artist put out an open call, and they received a wide array of awesome work that runs the gamut, take our word for it.

Here's a preview of what you'll find in the show, but be prepared to be surprised, our pics don't come close to covering all the work. A limited edition zine with photos of all stickers in the show plus some small works by the exhibiting artists will be available for sale at the gallery. Oh, and the opening party's gonna rock too. See you there!
