Art lovers in search of weekend plans look no further - this weekend is the Dumbo Arts Festival! Yes, the massive event which is part Brooklyn Open Studios, part showcase of performance and interactive art is returning to downtown Brooklyn. Similar to some of the spring arts fests like Fountain and The Armory Show, there will be over 500 artists represented throughout the 3 day happening which is expected to draw 200,000 visitors this weekend.
Highlights include: The projections of Codex Dynamic (video below). Inverted Sky, a flying installation made up of foreign currency, and Barter Town, an interactive experience where people can come together and haggle for anything which they think holds value. Whatever your favorite styles of art are, they'll be represented in Dumbo this weekend. So head down to Dumbo and find your new favorite artist.
